Narrative
Note that the birth note in LDS says 'of Kirriemuir' not born in Kirriemuir. It also announces Margaret Hay as his spouse, but nothing about his parents.
This could mean that he was born somewhere else. The only Charles Scott born in Angus in 1826 was in Arbirlot (near the coast) on 15/9/1826 of James Scott & Helen Dowell
This could also mean that the Margaret Hay from Kirriemuir is not right.
According to Isobel: Lived in Glenprosen/Kirriemuir
David Scott's death note said he is a farmer on Prosenbank. Also that he has a cousin called George Duncan (may mean cousin-in-law). This could mean he is married to a Duncan.
Margaret Low said he was a cattle thief and that he was the eldest son.
